Answer: It is a Prepaid Card with a value limited to the amount of money loaded on the card at the time of purchase. The Prepaid Visa Gift Card allows you to buy what you want, whenyou want, everywhere Visa Debit Card is accepted within the United States ONLY.

Question: What makes the Prepaid Visa Gift Card different from other gift cards?
Answer: Unlike a store gift card that limits your purchases to a specific retailer, the Prepaid Visa Gift Card can be used to make purchases at millions of locations (in the US only).

Question: Is the Prepaid Visa Gift Card a credit card?
Answer: No, the Prepaid Visa Gift Card is a prepaid debit card that carries a fixed amount determined by the giver at the time of purchase. Each time the gift recipient uses the Card, the purchase amount is deducted from the available balance.

Question: In what Denominations are the cards sold?
Answer: $15, $20 $25, $50, and $100 dollars. Variable load cards can have a minimum of $20 and the maximum value is $500. (Card selection varies by retailer location.)

Question: Are the cards reloadable?
Answer: No.

Question: When will the card expire?
Answer: The cards remain active until all funds loaded on the card are depleted or the card expires, whichever comes first. The card’s expiration date is embossed on the front of the card.

Question: Why should I register my card?
Answer: We strongly encourage the recipient of the Prepaid gift card to register their card at www.mygiftcardsite.com or calling Customer Service at 1-866-952-5653. When you register your Prepaid Gift Card you may use your card for internet, mail and phone order purchases.

Question: How can I see where I’ve used my card?
Answer: Visit www.mygiftcardsite.com to view your current balance, cardholder statements, and to register your card. You can also access your information by calling 1-866-952-5653. There is no charge to access the website or to call us.

Question: How does my Prepaid Visa Gift Card work?
Answer: At the time of purchase, give the card to the cashier, push “credit” on the keypad and sign the receipt or press “debit’ and enter your PIN. Each time you use your card, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from your card balance. You can check your balance anytime by visiting www.mygiftcardsite.com or by calling 1-866-952-5653.

Question: Can the Prepaid Visa Gift Card be used to get cash at an ATM?

Answer: No. There is no cash access with your Prepaid Gift Card even if a PIN is obtained.
Question: What if I don’t have enough money on the card to cover my next purchase?
Answer: Make sure you know your exact balance before your next purchase. When you present your Prepaid Gift Card, tell the cashier your exact balance and that you will pay the difference with another form of payment. Sometimes the store’s register will not let you pay the difference with a credit or debit card. Ask your cashier to be sure.
Question: What happens when all of the funds on the Prepaid Visa Gift Card are spent?
Answer: The card will no longer have any value, so it will not be able to be used to make purchases.
Question: Can I use my Prepaid Visa Gift Card at gas stations?
Answer: Always pay inside at the counter. Do not pay at the pump. We suggest that you pay the station attendant for the exact amount of your purchase. When you pay at the pump $75 is automatically deducted from your Card until the actual transaction posts (usually within three days), If you have less than $75 on your Card, your transaction will be declined at the pump.
Question: Can I use my Prepaid Visa Gift Cards at restaurants?
Answer: Yes. However, most restaurants, salons, and other service providers where you typically tip may temporarily add approximately 20% to your bill to cover the tip. Make sure your balance can cover the 20% or your transaction will be declined.
Question: Can I use my Prepaid Visa Gift Card to rent a car or make hotel reservations?
Answer: No, the Prepaid Gift Card cannot be use to a rent a car. You are advised to use some other form of payment when you rent a car or make a hotel reservation.
Question: What if I have to return something I purchase with the Prepaid Visa Gift Card?
Answer: Make sure you keep your Gift Card, even if it is depleted, if there is a chance you may return an item purchased with your Gift Card. When you make your return, the funds can be returned to the card. This credit is usually returned to your Available Funds in 2-3 business days. This and other return policies may vary by retailer.
Question: What if I want to return something but have thrown my card away?
Answer: Return policies vary by retailer. You will have to work out an alternative solution with the
retailer from which you made your purchase.
Question: Can I use my Prepaid Visa Gift Card at more than one merchant?
Answer: Yes, you can use your Prepaid Visa Gift Card anywhere Visa Debit Card is accepted – in the United States ONLY – as long as there are funds available on the card.
Question: What do I do if my Prepaid Visa Gift Card is declined?
Answer:If a transaction is declined, you should first verify the balance on the card by visiting www.mygiftcardsite.com or by calling 1-866-952-5653. The merchant cannot access this information. If your card was declined, and there are sufficient funds to cover the purchase, contact us at 1-866-952-5653 to speak to a customer service representative.
Question: What if my card is lost or stolen?
Answer: Call us immediately at 1-866-952-5653 to report the card as lost or stolen. You will be required to provide your name, Gift Card number, original value, and transaction history.
The Gift Card will be replaced for a $5.95 fee. You may be liable for all transactions that occur on your Gift Card until you report it lost or stolen.
Question: What if I disagree with a transaction that I see on my on-line statement?
Answer: Please call us at 1-866-952-5653. We will assist you with the process to dispute unauthorized charges to your card.

Helpful Tips for the US Bank Prepaid Gift Card.

• Always Know Your Gift Card Balance: The Gift Card transaction will be declined if you try to make a purchase in excess of your Gift Card balance. If your Gift Card value is not enough to cover the full amount of your purchase, ask the store or restaurant to split the transaction between the remaining Gift Card balance and another form of payment. Tell the cashier your Gift Card  balance since many merchants cannot tell what the balance is. Go to www.mygiftcardsite.com to check your balance.
• To make a purchase in a store, press “credit” and sign or press “debit” and enter your PIN.

    I used to be able to buy your cards from Jewel-Osco, but no more! I have tried their replacement cards, but they do not work as well as yours! (Easy to register – redeem online – check balances!).
    Where can I buy these cards in the Chicago suburban area?
